Hi all.
On the GTi 30th edition the car comes with Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tyres at 205/40 R18 86Y the offset is ET20. Current Alloys are 18x7.5.
The issue is I have tried a million companies and no one has or can get that tyre for at least 10 weeks.
Options 1: (change tyre brand)
Dunlop sport Maxx RT
Pirelli PZero AR or ARR
Bridgestone Potenza RE050
Yokohama S.Drive
Option 2: (Change all 4 to a different size)
change all the tyres to 225/35 R18
This gives me many more options but results in a rotational difference on the speedo of +1.06% 60mph would be 60.63mph (though one site says 60km/h will be 50.94/km/h
235/35R18 is a better match at 0.1% difference but only 1 tyre is an option.
Option 3: (change alloys and tyres)
18x8 With 215/40 R18 change offset top 25 Speedo difference 60mpg is 59.24mph(other site says 60km/h is 60.8km/h) Alloy sticks out 1.3mm more
For now ignore the relevance of cost. I was going to change the alloys down the line anyway, this just might make me do it sooner.
