Car is 208 1.4hdi intuitiveI dont drive it much as its the wifes car, but its definitely not rightCar has always been crap to heat up assumed this was normal really noticeable when trying to defrost icy windscreen

Yesterday the car was slightly down on coolant just at the bottom of the expansion tank, I topped it up expecting an air lock or something?
Ran car for 20 mins revving slightly, car warms up ok got to 90 but still no warm air and no water loss!
My wife said if you turn off the internal fan it eventually gets warm but with them on its like having the air con on

At 90 degrees the expansion bottle did not seem hot so im guessing water pump issue??

Has there been any issues with the flap motors not working or something electronic stopping the selector to select hot air? the car has the climate controls so all electronic

Car is at a garage today for a diagnosis but any help or similar issues shared much appreciated

Cheers Rich

Right i suggested the pump but the mechanic said he did not think soIt has had a new thermostat unit fitted and new antifreeze and appears to be ok now!
But weirdly if on auto and the temp is high it seems to blow cooler air out of the side vents! are these connected to outside fresh air?
Also if you press the front screen button it only blows at the set temp i thought they were supposed to blow at max temp?
