Any other 1.6 hdi 115 owners experience a definate power drop after 3000 rpm. I realise they are fitted with small turbo's that spin up quickly and give you the power low down, but am hoping things improve with more miles on. Seems odd to only have a 1500 rpm power band ona modern diesel.Thoughts anyone ??

Not really drove my 208 hard yet, bit from looking at the size of the tturbo I can see them being very very restrictive.

I don't really drive mine hard, would be defeating the object of swapping from the jag, but occassionally in perhaps an overtake, I might rev her a little harder. Might look into a remap. Anyone done it yet ?

When my petrol was in for an issue I had the 208 courtesy car which was the 1.4 diesel and it did that at 3000 rpm too. I think your right about it being because the turbo is so small
