I’ve been having an oil pressure light when idling along with a concerning squealing noise on my 17 reg 208 1.2. I’ve had the car in my local garage (not a Peugeot garage) where they cleaned out the oil pump strainer and the oil sump for debris from my old cambelt that was changed a couple of months ago now.

I’ve read others having repairs done free of charge under the ‘goodwill’ system for what appears to be the same problem. Can anyone who has been through this already let me know what steps they took to solve the problem?

i've recently had the oil pressure light come on with the message oil pressure problem do not drive then it goes off,so i did not drive it for two days and when switching on ignition after the warning light has not come on,if there is a fault would not stay on permanately,can anyone advise.
