Hi everyone.

The daytime running lights on my 208 have stopped working (not the led ones on my model)

I changed the bulbs for some Led bulbs as prefer the white light from these, they still work as side lights and when the headlights are on, the DRL's are defo set up as on in the settings. I have swapped back to the proper bulbs and still not working?

Is there a separate fuse just for the DRL's? If so I can't see it listed in the manual.

Any help much appreciated

Thanks

David

are you sure that the LED bulbs you have fitted are double light bulbs as the bulb you took out would have been a double filament bulb

Yeah it is, it can also be a rear light/ brake bulb, and has the same 2 sets of contacts.

The original bulbs are back in now, and still no joy?

All other lights are working

Hi,
Yeah I did, I was a fuse, it was on its own in the middle of the front of the fuse box under the bonnet.

I want to turn my daytime running lights off, but don't think I can.I have an Access+ (so no touchscreen), so I do not have a main menu. According to my handbook they can be turned off, but assume for model Active upwards which do have touchscreen.Thought about taking out the fuse, but can't find one which corresponds.Confirmation that I can't turn them off or advice how to would be much appreciated.

MY GTi is red, and I leave them on.Also, 'lights on' laws come and go. Back in the 70s Sweden brought in a law that headlights had to be on at all times. I'm in Australia but all Volvos sold here had headlights permanently on. Then the fuel crisis hit and they realised that having lights on was using fuel, so the law was changed.
With modern LEDs, energy use is much lower, so no problems !

I'd like to see the % for lights on and off during the day. Think it makes no difference, well to me it doesn't. And tbh really it makes no difference if you have them on or off, I just turned mine off to be different :p I'm not being a dick btw.

Each to their own, it wouldn't do if everyone was the same or thought the same!

I would like to say, as a motorcyclist, I can honestly say that having headlights on during the day significantly reduces the risk of NOT being seen. So much so that all new motorcycles have permanent lights when engine is started.
So for anyone to think that this does not apply to a car, that has twice the lighting, is clearly deluded.
Be seen and be safe. Running lights have been proved to save accidents. Fact

Hi all, I know this is an old post but does anyone know how
to remove (change) the LED bulbs on the DRL, having looked at the rear the
place where they are is blank.
