Coil Failure

Higher boost smaller gaps, preset gaps on ngk is 0.7-0.8. I have 0.6-0.7 on my bmw sparkplugs with no issue and haven't had a problem with my coils nor sparkplugs for 25000 Kilometers, coils have been with me since it left the factory 46.000 kilometers. Too big gap will put much more stress on the coil.

Look for uprated/sportier sparkplugs for bmw 335i for example. BMW 335I orginal/standard plugs are same as ours but uses a different product number.

When chamber get higher compression the compression will do odd thing to the gap, like expanding the gap. So if you have 0.6mm it will surely be 0.7-0.8 under highest pressure especially when you going from factory map to remap with much higher boost and different A/F mixture.
That's why you want to have a smaller gap and also correct heat range(hotter than ome plugs) on the spark plug.
But when looking at your plugs it does look kinda good. I think you have to laborate a little with gap (maybe A/F and ignition?)
The coils should hold longer than what you getting.

I read about self-cleaning zone, heat range and so on, just to be sure that your spark plugs looked ok. I'm not an expert at all but it's fun to learn about these things :p
