I have a 2015 Peugeot 208 with touchscreen radio no CarPlay, I was complaing to someone about how bad the radio is in the car and they gave me a sony xav-ax805d which is a single din unit with a screen sticking out of it, will this work okay in my car I know the rider models have a single din unit so is it possible to buy the front faceplate from a Peugeot with a single din unit so the new one looks correct

Not sure how that would fit in there. I'm wondering if it's worth the hassle when there are aftermarket units out there that are made for the 208 and are virtually plug and play. The other option is to contact Magpie Autos who still support the older 208 headunits and can add the feature.
