1.4 active 1600 mlstook the car back to the dealer! evertime you braked it made a grinding sound
they checked the brake dics and found they were heavly ridge
taking in on 17 feb to get new brake disc all round

couple of weeks ago i took car back to the dealers
when i tried to take one of lock nuts off
the lock nut key kept slipping
they said the anti theft device had beed activated on the lock nut
i told them under no circumstanced has anybody interfered with it
because they wanted to charge me have hour labour
they had to drill out the bolt under warranty
i was upgrading my alloys

I have the same issue with my brakes grinding. I thought it was noisy because the engine was off (Stop-Start Eco Mode) I was hearing the brakes and that it was normal. I think I'll take my car in to Peugeot and have them have a look at the discs.

Hmmm , both our 208's are quite noisey ( scraping/ grinding ) under braking. Think I'll have to take a look at the discs when I get a chance and see If they're grooving

I have same on my 208 1.4 petrol (Grooving) front only
But brakes are good best I have had in any car, no noise
Can this be ignored
1750 miles so far

1.4 hdi active.....


Im having same problem with my discs....feel as though the brakes are grinding....will give the dealer a ring thursday,been doing it for a while....car has just clocked 2000 miles.



Update you all when i find out whats WHAT !!!!!!!!!!

have had the same problem with brakes on my 1.4vti 5 door allure, done 2450 miles and brakes are making grinding noise. Have had it back to main dealer and they checked the brakes but could find no fault. if noise continues will have them checked by a brake specialist. otherwise a fantastic car, much better than my previous 207 sport.
