Hi, Reading through the 208 brochure from my local dealer I noticed a reference to an 'Active Foot Rest System' listed in the Protection category together with the more usual collapsible steering column etc . I queried this with the dealer who claimed to know nothing about it. Anyine got any ideas on what this refers to ?

Hi Paul, Thanks for the replies but I had sort of guessed that it was supposed to be a safety feature. I collected my new 1.2 VTI this morning and made a point of asking the service department about it. A very helpful guy says that it is a system wherevy the driver's pedals (clutch/brake/accelerator) are designed to collapse away from the driver's feet/legs in the event of a frontal impact. He wasn't sure how it works though.
