Hi I recently purchased a 208 gti BPS, and have noticed that the tyres are not gripping to well and can't seem to put any power down, what tyres are recommended for this car and work well with handling and grip in general?

I put Michelin pilot sport 4 tyres on the front. Much better than the 3s that came from the factory which gave no grip at all in the wet.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 are the Super Sport Alternatives now Michelin have stopped making them in the BPS size.

I still think in the heat the super sports were better but the Pilot Sport 4 is better in the wet.

Any experiences with Bridgestone Potenza Sport? That's a new model and I'm interested to see if anyone has them on their car. They were excellent in the first tests so I'm thinking about buying them or Michelin Pilot Sport 4.

What size are you looking for? I work for Bridgestone and can see if we list the PSport (sorry - Potenza Sport)...

All very good, but if we (Bridgestone) don't list the size....

The GTi BPS standard tyres and size are:

Michelin Pilot Super Sport
205/40 ZR18 (86Y)

Since Michelin do not make this size any longer in the PSS, then Michelin Pilot Sport 4 is the best alternative.

Sorry peeps. Just checked the Bridgestone system, and we don't list the Potenza Sport in 205/40R18 yet 😢.

I'll ask my colleagues in the office on Tuesday if there are any plans to launch the tyre in this size.

I bought them for my GTi (205/45 R17). First impressions are good.
Worth knowing about... I run that size on the Monster, and am currently using Hankook V12 evos.. May even consider getting the PSports when I need new tyres....
