Hi all I'm new to the forum hope 6ou are all well.
I recently bought a 2016 208 1.5 diesel GT Line, love the car, only had it for about a month and can't really fault it apart from it does seem to whine from the gearbox when slowing down in all gears between 1600 and 1000 RPM.
I've read that the 2008 with the 1.2 engine has this issue but can't seem to find anything on the 208 with this engine. The whine stops when the clutch is depressed, its not loud but definitely noticeable.
My question is is this normal? I will admit I didn't notice it when I first got the car but I seem to be listing for it all the time now.
Its only done 25k.
Kind regards Nigel

Probably someone else with same car can confirm but Peugeot's gearboxes are awful from this perspective. I drove 307 HDI 6 years with this problem, now the 208 has it too.
I never had a problem with this whining, all I do is changing the gearbox oil every 50k kilometres. Of course those are my own thoughts and I share them based on my experience.
